Colegio San Jaime - Summer Camp 2018

Thursday, 20th of July, 2017. Depart at 9.00, arrival at 14.00.  This week we are doing our second and last trip (leaving at 9.00 and arriving back at 14.00). We are visiting Las Dehesas, in Cercedilla, surrounded by vegetation and trees where we are playing lots of games in nature. Important: punctuality, snack for mid-morning, summer camp t-shirt and cap, and bottle for water.  Exit routines will be the same (at 14.00 the ones going home for lunch) and at 16.30 (the ones eating at school).

July arrives and the temperature returns to the typical level of these dates. But do not worry, we are ready to face it. We begin a new week with all our will placed in making the children enjoy the beginning of the real summer. From Monday on we start new swimming pool shifts, as well as hopefully we can start with the water games at last. And we will begin to prepare the film session on Friday. Action!

Friday 30th we've got the first cinema session in the Hollywood Summer Camp for parents. If your kids are leaving at 14.00, you can watch our productions from 13.30 on. If your kids are leaving at 16.30, the session would start at 16.00. You could stay a little longer if you needed to. Never further than 17.00.  Infant have set a performance as an example of the kind of activities we are doing together. Primary has set as well a serie of short movies we hope you enjoy. Hope you like them and your kids may be awarded with an Oscar! 

We are ready to welcome you in the 2017 Summer Camp. At 9 o'clock, our team will be waiting for you at the entrance. Get ready for all our activities. Hope you love them! Infant kids must be delivered to their classes. We'll be there to drive you to the right place through the right way. Primary can go to their classrooms on their own. See you tomorrow! :)

Approaching the beginning of the Summer Camp, we publish a reminder about some aspects to take into account. First, we must remember the opening times of doors, which will be from 8.55 to 9.10 in the morning . Students of extended time will be driven to the classes by staff of the Summer Camp. Do not forget that it is important to give the monitor / coordinator the green card with information on allergies, contact phones, etc. Primary children can access the classroom directly . They will be received in the area of ​​awnings by staff of the Summer Camp who will give them the appropriate instructions. In the case of Infant, parents must accompany them to the class once checked in the lists the assigned class . Teachers will welcome you at the classroom door. We advise children to wear comfortable shoes and clothing, change clothes (in the case of Infant), as well as swimwear , towel, flip-flops , etc. It is recommended that children wear suncream in order to protect them from

We're glad to confirm that everything is ready to get started with this year's Summer Camp. Kids are finishing their school year, and us, we are preparing every single detail so they can enjoy from the very first minute. Watch out, Hollywood is coming, jump on board! Welcome everyone!

The Guardian elaborated a serie of tips following some really important British actors and actresses opinions. Theatre is not just a question of more or less shyness . It's just trying somebody else's shoes on and letting yourself go.  These are some out of the whole set of tips, but every master has his own trick . Hollywood is without a doubt the most famous neighborhood of Los Angeles , in the well-known state of California . Film industry has established a global reference there, where all actors, actresses & directors are dreaming of reaching sooner or later.  As a synonym of success, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (also known as the Academy ) is a professional honorary organization that created the worldwide famous 'Academy Awards' (the ' Oscars '), a ceremony to determine the best actors / actresses of the previous year.  The iconic letters are atop  Mount Lee  since  1923 , b ecoming the most recognizable element of the whole city. Welcome to San Jaime's English Summer Camp in this 2017's edition. This blog will include information and extra materials from the activities the participants are developing. Updated day by day, these entries may work as a diary of the whole Summer Camp to know what your kids are doing in every moment. Remember the Summer Camp gets started on Monday 26th of June, ending the 28th of July . From 9.00 to 16.30 , with possibility of further schedules (consult in school's secretary). Opened to all Infant and Primary students -others, consult- (belonging to San Jaime or other schools), the Camp activities will be as usual 100% in English .
